Dr. Danielle E. Harlow
Danielle Harlow, Ph.D is a neuroscientist committed to understanding the connections between the nervous and immune systems in health and disease. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Boston College, she moved to the University of Colorado to pursue a doctorate in Cell and Neurobiology. Currently working in the biopharmaceutical sector developing new treatments for autoimmune disorders, she has recently begin to explore the role that flow arts play in the communications between the nervous and immune systems. Not only does she have a goal of bringing more holistic approaches to traditional medicine, but she is also passionate about combining STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) and the outdoors in outreach to youth - especially disadvantaged urban youth - without access to the natural world in their day-to-day lives.
