A Letter to Our Teachers and Coaches

When we began this work in 2014, we set out to create a modality—but not one that could be reduced to a simple technique or protocol.

We were following something that moved through us—something that integrated the neuroscience we'd spent years studying with the embodied wisdom that can't be taught from a manual. Something relational. Something alive.

NeuroSomatic Flow® (NSF) is a transmission-based, relational modality rooted in nervous system science, embodied movement, and conscious re-patterning.

It integrates:

  • Neuroscience

  • Flow psychology

  • Somatic healing

  • Embodied play

  • Relational attunement

...into a coherent framework for transformation.

NSF emerged through inquiry, through practice, through transmission. Through nervous systems meeting each other in flow states and discovering what becomes possible when we stop forcing and start allowing.

NSF is not a technique. It's not a protocol.

It is a lineage—a living body of work that has emerged through sustained inquiry, embodied practice, and relational transmission.

Because of this, NSF is learned through:

  • Structured training

  • Direct mentorship

  • Embodied practice

  • Ongoing relational transmission

Information alone does not constitute qualification.

You can't learn flow from a PDF. You can't download nervous system regulation. The transmission happens body to body, nervous system to nervous system.

You've been part of that emergence. Your devotion, your practice, your willingness to trust something that couldn't be fully explained—you've shaped this lineage as much as we have.

And now, as this work grows, we're at a threshold.

Why Structure Matters Now

Here's what we know: without intentional structure, growth becomes fragmentation.

We've watched beautiful modalities dilute into unrecognizable versions of themselves. We've seen practitioners lose the value of their training because the brand became meaningless. We've seen founders burn out trying to hold everything together without clear containers.

We're not interested in that path.

We're also not interested in scaling fast. We're committed to scaling true.

With this in mind and in heart—and after many weeks of exploring different possibilities and discussing with advisors and several of you—we're thrilled to share some clarity for the path forward.

The model we are most inspired by is a Co-Stewardship Model.

This stewardship approach serves many critical purposes:

  • To preserve the integrity of what you trained in—so that five years from now, NSF certification still means something deep and specific

  • To protect you as early adopters—your investment of time, energy, and belief deserves to grow in value, not diminish

  • To ensure public trust—so that when someone works with an NSF practitioner, they receive consistent, grounded, skillful care

  • To build something sustainable—not just for us, but for future generations of practitioners

This isn't about control. It's about care.

The Structure of NSF: Clarifying Levels & Introducing New Pathways

As we move toward co-stewardship, there are two ways to understand your place in this ecosystem. Levels 1, 2, and 3 are being clarified with more precision, and Level 4 is newly introduced.

1. Training Levels (Competency & Scope)

These define what you're qualified to do:

  • Level 1 – Practitioner: Personal embodiment and self-use

  • Level 2 – Teacher: Group facilitation—teaching the art, presenting the science

  • Level 3 – Coach: 1:1 private sessions using NSF

  • Level 4 (New!) – Authorized Trainer: Regional Level 1 trainings + co-facilitation of global trainings under shared curriculum

Each level has clear scope. This protects you, protects your clients, and protects the field.

2. Leadership Development (Relational, Not Automatic)

This is about how you grow into stewardship within the lineage.

Training level doesn't automatically equal leadership role. Leadership develops through relationship, embodiment, and demonstrated capacity to hold the field.

Here's how we're phasing this:

Phase 1 – Co-Transmission (Where We Are Now)

All official NSF trainings are led by us, with Level 3 coaches invited into paid co-facilitation roles as part of their development toward Level 4.

This isn't assistantship. It's apprenticeship.

Co-facilitation transmits things that can't be taught in a manual:

  • How to hold a group nervous system

  • How to read subtle relational timing

  • How to navigate ethical complexity in real time

  • How to allow the medicine to move through you without forcing

This phase consolidates the transmission before we decentralize. It protects coherence and strengthens the long-term value of what you've invested in.

Phase 2 – Authorized Regional Trainings

When a Level 3 coach demonstrates readiness—through embodied alignment, field-holding capacity, and sustained mentorship—they may be authorized as a Level 4 Trainer.

Level 4 trainers can:

  • Offer designated Level 1 trainings in their region

  • Operate within shared curriculum standards

  • Participate in ongoing mentorship and review

Authorization ensures expansion strengthens the ecosystem rather than diluting it.

Future Phase – Distributed Stewardship

As the system stabilizes, teaching leadership will expand. Steward circles may form. We may reduce day-to-day facilitation.

But the lineage remains coherent. Certification retains meaning. The medicine stays tended.

Economic Clarity (Because Money Matters)

Let us be direct: NSF is not a recruitment hierarchy. There are no "downlines".

Here's how the economics work at a high level (the full client engagement process is detailed in the separate "Operating Guidelines"):

Your private 1:1 coaching is always yours.

If a client comes to you initially—through a workshop, IG/YouTube video, interview, etc.—and is looking for 1:1 coaching, they'll always come to you first (if you want to work with them), and 100% of any revenue is yours.

Revenue sharing applies only when:

  • You're using official NSF curriculum and certification infrastructure, OR

  • You're offering 1:1 coaching in collaboration with NaiAsa Institute (for example, as part of the "Medicine of Flow Coaching Clinic")

Referral and ambassador programs exist to reward contribution, not recruitment. They're transparent, contribution-based, and governed by separate agreements.

This structure exists so that as the ecosystem grows, the value of belonging grows with it—for all of us.

What This Means for You

You are not just certified practitioners, teachers, and coaches.

You are stewards of a living lineage.

This structure protects what you've invested in. It ensures your certification doesn't dilute as NSF expands. It builds public trust. It creates sustainable opportunities—not just for you, but for everyone who comes after you.

We're building something that lasts beyond us. Beyond any single practitioner. Beyond this moment.

A Note on Legacy & Continuity

We are also in conversation about what happens to current trainees and NSF in general in the unfortunate event of our passing.

We'll be reaching out to those of you who have bandwidth to discuss what we're thinking about arranging legally and fairly in this situation.

Yes, Lola's (Nova’s mom) death was a big wake-up call to getting these affairs in order—so that when we do graduate to the spiritual realm, NaiAsa Institute and NSF don't become a sudden burden, but a blessing for all those connected to us.
