These hand-painted Dakini Poi are special because they’re designed by Dr. Jinju and the painting is done by Ketut’s (she is our poi maker) husband, who suffered a stroke in 2020.
The process of hand-painting requires concentration, so it helps him grow new, neural pathways.
While it takes him a little longer than most to finish, he feels good having meaningful work like this . . . . and we feel good helping him.
These were designed with the yogini in mind or anyone that loves simple reminders of how sacred and powerful the breath is. Balancing the inhale with the exhale balances the yang with the yin. Without balance, there is no flow. Without flow, there is struggle.
